The star of the show is a 1.31ct Natural Light Yellow Old Mine Brilliant- which is a mighty rare bird. The diamond was cut to reflect yellow light back to your eye. It's not quite as yellow as a W-X cushion modified (the commonly found style in this color)- it's a soft buttery yellow.

The side diamonds were cut to reflect maximum white light. That sets up a great contrast - and all three stones are mesmerizing to gaze into.

More about the center diamond.

Since this is a modern cut diamond, this "vintage" facet pattern is laid on using the most modern technology. That's why many of the stones have VG or EX symmetry. However the Polish and Symmetry grades tell us so little a symmetrical stone is not necessarily beautiful - or well cut. Yoram F, is an artisan who is at the vanguard in the "re-creating" the classic cuts. He designed these diamonds, cut from light yellow rough, to best show that color. This is a different design than used on other vintage style colorless diamonds designed by Yoram F. Closely related, yet different.

This design epitomizes the qualities we love in a DBL signature stone. To the best of my knowledge, you won't find this particular specialty anywhere else. Beautiful.... artful facet design combined with the precision execution geared toward increasing color perception. The stones are gorgeous. All are laser inscribed.
