We picked the perfect size trilliants - any smaller and they would loose impact - becoming insignificant visually. Even a smidge larger and we loose the symmetry of the ring. Due to the perfect size relation between the icy white trills and coppery brown round, the prongs line up perfectly - and oh how lovely those hand forged prongs are!

So we get the perfect spacial relationship- combined with this stark contrast in color. The ring itself is meticulously finished- everything just so. The little "v's" holding the outside edge of the trilliants are as clean as I have seen. Solid shank, the ring feels great to the touch.

Considering the remarkable fit and finish and overall quality of this ring, it is really hard to believe the price which is less than most loose 1.32ct diamonds.

More details about the center stone

We buy a lot of brown diamonds, and we know the best cutters for them.

Here is an amazing deal on a beautifully cut, round brown diamond. It is hard to find a brown diamond cut like this - it is "spready" - that means it looks large for it's weight. Usually brown round diamonds are "heavy"- that's the opposite of spready.

In this case the stone has really nice sparkle - oddly enough it's really nicest in lower lighting situations - it really glows.

If the diamond is eye clean (this one is one is) the clarity is never a big issue - for me at least. The imperfection is not possible to see, due to the color. However you can see the diamond's sparkle, size and color all the time.

Cool diamond for the money.
