The ring is amazing with this stone- the setting is open underneath- but there's still enough yellow gold to really improve the yellow color coming out of the top.

The pink diamonds sparkle rosy pink. It all works beautifully together.

More details about the center stone

A buddy of ours cuts antique style diamonds here on 47th street.

This is a newly cut diamond. I'd say "new diamond" but as we know, natural diamonds are a gazillion years old.

It was cut to a modern level of precision, in the style of Old European Brilliant.

I love the large flashes and fire that result from the large facets, high crown, teeny table.

I see a little brown in the color- GIA doesn't, maybe it's the strong blue fluorescence. Speaking of that "Strong Blue" fluorescence: we purchased the diamond before it had been to GIA. Before we submitted the diamond I anticipated a fluorescence grade of "Medium" It's a weak "Stong Blue"

The stone does not look blue. Also- there are no negative aspects to this diamond's fluorescence.

No haziness at all. You can see this in the pics and video- some of which were taken in sunlight.
