This is an experiment gone right. Basically, we scour the market for the unusual. We found a single stone, light yellow round. It is a modern stone, but antique vibe slightly - the slightly open culet for one thing does that for me. Then, at the same time (from the same dealer), we found this stunning pair of OECs. They are also warm, but in this case light brown.

Coincidentally we had the skeleton of a ring that was made incorrectly. It was supposed to have yellow gold shank. Since it was a custom made ring we did not scrap the incorrectly made ring. These stones happened to fit right into it. Oh, and a very important detail in this story - the incorrectly made skeleton had pink and yellow bones in exactly the right spots for our plans.

So we set the 1.50ct yellow in yellow , the faint brown 1.33ctw pair in brown and OMG, it worked! I am not going to say the pink or the yellow are "blaring" hues. The color is subtle, but you can definitely see it. Both the center and each side stone emit amazing chunky flashes of light.

As in many successful experiments not every detail works out. In this case, we set the stones without first sending them to GIA, si the grades are mine. However, if you look at the price, and fact that we will guarantee the diamonds in the ring to be natural - it may make sense just like this.

I love this result.
