Those of you that follow the site might recall we originally set this stone in a three stone ring. We just felt that it was not living up to it's potential there, so we created a new halo setting for her.
It's eloquently done in platinum, with gorgeous details. Lovely claw prongs. Dainty in appearance, with a 1.9mm shank, yet durable for daily wear.
The ring is well made and has great presence on the finger.

This is a stunning modified Asscher Cut sapphire. In terms of color, this one is exactly at the edge of bubble gum. I did not call it bubble gum because it's just a little deeper. However, as the facets on the bottom of the stone flashes bright through her range of motion, you definitely see some bulk bubble gum type shades.
Extra care was taken to add facet breaks exactly in the right spots to make sure the stone sparkles beautifully, yet still maintain the Asscher like personality.
When you get a stone that has this much brilliance for a sapphire of this color, and you have a far more rare and desirable stone than one that might be termed "average". For this reason, I do not look for the "cheapest" stones. When we purchase. I look for the best stones. This is such a sapphire. |
