Green diamonds are quite rare. Pure green is among the rarest, and costliest of colors. Green diamonds that have a modifying hue are more common- hence a less stratospheric price. This is such a stone.
The color is so nice.
As you can see in the video, the Medium Blue Fluorescence plays some very cool tricks in the dark when hit by a UV light. But the Fluorescence causes no ill effects whatsoever in normal lighting -and may actually help the color. The green is noticeable, in a very pretty way.
The cut is amazing. As you can see the table is quite small- and the crown is generous- almost antique proportions. The sparkle is even over the whole stone- it's dazzling.
The diamond was graded SI1 by GIA- the imperfections are widely dispersed- so the diamond is totally eye clean.
