If you read online, there are certain table/depth ratios that are desirable. You need to have a depth less than the table- or was it table less than depth. Or did it depend on if it was daylight savings time....I hate having to remember all this stuff...

Seriously, you can't judge an emerald cut diamond by the numbers.

This diamond is the perfect example.

It's got a table on the largeish side, and a depth below the proscribed numbers.

Let's look at both these aspects.

Table: what happens on this stone is that the bottom facets fool your eyes into making it look like a 60%ish table. The 70% table means that there's not a tall crown on the diamond. But really the only time you can see that is if you tilt the stone and look at it from an angle you'd never view the stone.

Then the depth- 59.9%. What's the implication here- the "recommended depth" is somewhere in the mid 60's

Well, the implication is a diamond that looks larger than at least 80% of 2ct rectangular diamonds of any cut. Your diamond looking large is not really a problem for you, is it?

Then we have the super cool light lemon yellow color. Emerald cuts are so rare in this shade - and this is a stunning example.

Very clean stoine at VS1.

Overall, a gorgeous, unusual, and desirable rock.

We can do a killer halo or three stone ring.
