In general, color trumps every other factor when assessing a Fancy Colored Diamond. I have never looked at it that way. For me, brilliance, sparkle, shape, and cut combine with color to make or break a stone.
In the case of this diamond, all the factors work perfectly together. The stone exhibits countless sparkles, occupying the entire stone. Some are slightly larger than others, they all sing together.
The inherent body color of the diamond is amplified in a great way. The hue is pure and true lemon yellow.
The intensity is very close to Fancy Intense - about a 8 out of 10. The scale where 1 is a stone that just made the grade - a borderline Fancy Light Yellow, and 10 is a stone that just missed getting the grade of Fancy Intense Yellow.
For all important color, the stone is desirable. Of course this stone is also totally desirable based on stats. VVS1 in clarity. VG/VG in polish and symmetry. NO Fluorescence.`
This stones is absolutely as nice as any 2ct Fancy Yellow Cushion Diamond on the market - and still well priced. |
