.71ct E VS2 Pear Shape Diamond
Are there “ideal“ proportion’s for a pear-shaped diamond? If you read many websites online, you'll be tempted to say yes. The truth is, it’s rare to find information like this that is not targeted at trying to sell one particular type of diamond over another type of diamond. For example, depth.
If you look at charts on the Internet, this diamond is too shallow. However, when you look at the diamond itself, it shows no deficit in beauty related to its depth. Actually, the fact that it is not very deep means that it has more surface area than other diamonds of similar weight that are cut to greater depth. The diamond is also slightly - ever so slightly – asymmetrical. For this reason, GIA granted it a “fair“ grade and symmetry. I can notice no visible asymmetry looking at the diamond.
So what we have is a totally colorless, totally eye clean pear-shaped diamond that looks amazing. Why spend hours looking through thousands of virtual diamonds, when we have already pluck the best ones off the market for you.
ASET pictures. For those unfamiliar with the device, it produces the pictures with the green red and blue colors and the diamonds. What it’s telling us is where the diamond is drawing white from. What differences that make? Actually, Where are the Diamond is gathering like from, makes a big difference in the way the diamond looks. Where interpretation and subjectiveness comes in, is exactly which is better. A diamond gathering white from directly above, or diamond that’s gathering white from many different angles?
