Let's talk some about the color green. As compared to the color yellow. In nature both colors are plentiful. yet bright green is very rare in nature. This translates into diamonds because it's easier for a diamond to project pure bright yellow than for a stone to be pure green. If a 1ct GIA graded Fancy Vivid Yellow is $15k, a Fancy Vivid Green might be a million dollars. Basically so rare as to be priceless. There's quite a few stones with the grade of "Fancy Intense Yellow(-ish) Green. Consequently, such midified green stones are priced more like a pure Vivid Yellow.

In any event this is relevant because this diamond falls in the the Fancy Light category of Yellow Green. Now, the diamond looks pure green. All the time. I mean to say, in pretty much all lighting scenarios the stone looks green - and the color is remarkably bright. Point is, it's important to consider that this ring could easily be $20k if this stone had been graded Fancy Intense Yellow Green. Now it looks like an Intense.

The ring itself is a work of art. The teeny pink diamonds do their job admirably. Lots of sparkle. Pink sparkle. Especially when the pink and green are confronted with the white flashes of the .02ct super well cut colorless diamonds. The effect is dazzling.

The platinum shank is 1.9mm - perfect proportion for the halo. The outer dimensions of the halo are 9.5 x 7.5 which is pretty sizable.

More about the center diamond.

If you're a green diamond lover this gem will bring a smile to your face. The Strong Green Fluorescence, which has no negative aspects, surely adds to the "lime-ness" of this very sweet diamond. It's obviously green- and the shade is bright.

The shape is nice and pudgy. If you like that, you'll love this. Very nice sparkle and life. Like many green diamonds, there's some carbon inside - you may be able to see it in the pictures, in real life they're no bother.

The stone is reasonably priced for one that shows this much green.
