The color is quite interesting- and as I see a lot of purple, that is a very good thing. Remember, the color is quite deep – and there is brown, but it’s not the first thing you will see.

The ring style is a perfect showcase for this unique and desirable diamond.

There’s 54 diamonds set in micro pave around this diamond- and the center stone is artfully secured by pink gold claws. The ring also features a graceful split shank.

Lifetime workmanship guarantee from us - and we’re the company that built the ring

More details about the center stone

Here is a very cool diamond. If you love heart shapes, these photos will allow you a very good idea if the stone is for you - the sparkle is great.

I have graded the clarity I1, but it’s a totally eye clean stone. In this case the clarity is determined by a few small crystals and a series of faint lines that you can see in the photos. These imperfections do nothing to diminish the beauty of the diamond - the color helps tremendously in that regard.

Now we come to the color - which is clearly quite interesting. First let’s look at an EGL USA report for this stone. Fancy Brown Pink - which if true would be a nice gade. GIA on the other hand graded it Fancy Pinkish Brown. The cutter opted for the “Color Origin” report, which omits the clarity grade - they knew GIA likely would give the diamond an I1 grade.

After a little detective work, we discovered that the cutter knew the real grade - then tried to maximize the chances of sale by sending the diamond to EGL. There is nothing “wrong” with this, but there is also nothing “right” about it.

Our position: We treat you the way we want to be treated - honestly. Anyone who is seriously in the diamond business knows that the only acceptable grade for important stones is GIA’s grade - and if it is your diamond, clearly it is important.

If the diamond had been graded Fancy Brown Pink it would be worth approximately double - IF that grade had been issue by GIA. Even if the diamond looked just like this, remarkably enough the GIA grade with a last name of “pink” would have a huge impact on price.
