Original GIA Report ships with item. We also include our comprehensive appraisal for identification or insurance purposes. How much will my new diamond appraise for? |
This is a really cool square brilliant cut diamond. I have referred to it a s a "Princess" - but it is really something unique. This diamond has a very nice bowed edge to it. This has the effect of subtly softening the square. In terms of life and sparkle, the stone is fantastic - like a bottomless pit of sparkle.
The In terms of clarity it is an eye clean SI2 stone. The natural size and shape of the tiny imperfections result in no loss of brilliance whatsoever.
The Ring
We chose beautiful colorless trapezoidal diamonds as the side stones for this ring. They are a perfect compliment in shape while giving a lovely contrast in color to the center stone.
The design motif is minimalist - the stones are the star of the show. The stones are perfectly positioned - and perfectly angled.
The metal curves so gracefully, it is perfectly fluid.
Is a Light Yellow Diamond a "Fancy Color"?
Since the GIA grade does not have the word "Fancy" in it, many people question if a W-X color diamond is a "fancy color" .
I would suggest that those folks have not seen a stone in the light yellow color ranges in person.
As you can see in the photo above, both stones are yellow, just that the one on the right is a bit more yellow. There are differences in shade- and nature provides a shade for everyone!
It bears mentioning that the stone on the right above would cost 50% more than the one on the left. As you can see now that the stone is set, W-X looks really yellow when it's set. Light yellow, but unmistakably yellow
