3.00ct Fancy Yellow Brown I2 Round Brilliant Gents Diamond Ring
If you buy this diamond, you will know its origins, which is pretty cool.
The diamond was purchased as part of a large parcel of rough diamonds from Rio Tinto. The rough diamonds were unearthed in Australia, the Argyle mine.
Although the most notable, and costly diamonds from the Argyle Mine are the pinks and reds, many brown diamonds come from the mine as well. The diamond was cut in India. The cutting quality is very nice for a stone of this color.
This results are a lot of bright flashes coming through in spite of a remarkably deep color. I do love the color, it is quite coppery. Most important, the diamond is extremely lively in pretty much any lighting environment.
Back to our story, about the rough diamonds, from the Argyle mine, that are being cut in India by a very very close friend of ours.
This diamond was thought to be a clean stone, and it was till the very last part of the polishing process. All of a sudden the diamond showed imperfection that was previously not there.
The imperfections are totally internal. There is also an "open natural" at the edge of the stone - visible in the photos. None of this poses any structural implications whatsoever, but a huge value implication. A VS stone this size and color would be 50% again as much. Or more. Nice value.
The Ring
This ring feels so good on the hand. 18kt rose gold perfectly finished. You cannot help but keep glancing at the diamond on your hand.
The photos above are ACTUAL Photos of the diamond ring you will receive.
