Here's a 3.63carat Round Brilliant Diamond, GIA graded "Excellent Cut Grade".

In fact, a lot of judging the cut of a diamond is subjective.

There are people who will prefer one GIA EX cut grade over another. This particular diamond has a cut that I like very much, in real life.

My opinion?

The stone has tremendous liveliness and sparkle. it certainly looks large for it's weight. People will think it's at least 4 carats. The size itself is rare. ON the market, you will find many more 4.00ct stones than you will 3.63ct ones.

Of course 4 carat stones carry substantially higher prices. Getting a stone that looks like a four carat, yet the price is way less...hmm. .

The stone is made even more reasonable due to it's L color. It's quite a deceptive puppy, in that regard. From the side I can easily see the color- yet face up- the way it will be set into a ring- not so much.

The SI1 clarity also helps the price. You can see the very slight feather in some of the photos- including the one directly below. It's just to the right of dead center. I'd say near impossible to see in real life..
