Original GIA Report ships with diamond. We also include our comprehensive appraisal for identification or insurance purposes. How much will my new diamond appraise for? |
This diamond appears in the YouTube above.

I love I1 diamonds.
Why?
Because they allow us to put larger stones on people's fingers without having them spend more money. The trick is finding the right I1 diamonds. That takes skill, knowledge- and most importantly, a large pool of candidates.
I looked through hundreds of stones to pick five ( maybe six, I'm still deciding on one).
I look for a great cut as the first elimination factor. I don't do this by looking at the numbers on a report- I look at the diamonds. The personality of a stone can't be conveyed in measurements or grades.
If I like the make, then it's a matter of a combination of factors. I need to see a lot of sparkle and life. Since we're working on I1 clarities, we see if the imperfection is noticeable before we examine the diamond under magnification.
There's times that even if I can see the imperfection, it's still rather benign- having very little effect on the overall look.

Nice I1 Emerald cuts are particularly hard to find due to their more "open " personality.
Less and larger facets give step cuts a glittering liveliness. Brilliant faceted stones have more of what I would call sparkle.
In the photo below I can see a feather type imperfection running "north south" at about 7:00. That is a positive aspect of the close up photography- we can see the imperfections.

Looking at the photo below is more accurate to how I see the stone naked eye.
The feather is far less noticeable. The other area of imperfection is a few small carbon points pretty much dead center.
These might be visible in some lighting - but they are not easy to see by any means.

Bottom line is that none of this detracts from a pretty cool looking emerald cut.
It's "wide". Bold. I like that. Nice sized corners. The stone has a lively nature. In terms of color- it looks colorless.
Custom Made 18karat White Gold Men's Ring
The ring really suits the diamond well. The stone looks amazing in the setting- the I1 aspect falls by the wayside- the total effect is great.

The setting is smooth to the touch, and quite weighty at 15 grams of 18karat gold.
I love the fact that the inside is smooth- not hollowed out.
