IN the photo above, we can see why GIA graded this diamond SI1. To make it
easier, I'll point it out below.
This is a very costly
little piece of carbon- as it cost the cutter somewhere around two
thousand, which goes directly into the buyer's pocket.
The color, and overall
sparkle of this stone prevent me from being able to see this little carbon
spot- or the few other smaller ones- although maybe a very sharp eyed
observer might be able to spot them ( I mean really sharp eyed!)
When judging a Fancy
Intense Yellow, it is impossible to overstate the important that color
plays. This one is a strong intense yellow- an amazing bright natural canary
yellow.
The cut is quite
attractive to me as well- a bold cornered, square radiant cut diamond. The
effect is a bucket of crushed ice look. Lemon ice. Your eye can't seem to
find a single facet to focus on, instead, it's like a dazzling fireworks
display.
