2.01ct Fancy Pink-Brown SI1Cushion Cut Diamond
Here's an awesome value in a diamond that has a strong pink flavor. It's a Fancy Brown-Pink, as graded by GIA
As shown in the photo below, the grade is quite wide in terms of actual appearance.
Both these stones received an identical color grade from the GIA. The smaller stone is quite bit deeper in color. What we lose with this one on color is made up for by size and price.
This diamond at 2.01ct should be worth about 4 times the of the 1ct wit the same color. Yet this diamond is quite a bit less than the smaller on on a per carat basis. Also the lighter color allows for more bright flashes- meaning greater overall brilliance. By any measure a diamond this pink, 2ct and this price is value.
The cut is a great asset to this diamond as well. Nice crown, and a table of 65% - which gives a lot of brilliant flashes. Lovely color, which looks incredibly pink in certain lighting, and a bit less so in others.
There's a tiny pinpoint in the table- GIA graded SI1. I can see this point in some of the photos, but no way can I make it out in real life.
I would have purchased it even if it was florescent, but I'll admit, lack of fluorescence is also a big plus for me in a stone like this. It's crystal clear, and quite lively.
It's going to look lovely once we set it.
