1.03ct Fancy Yellow SI2 Heart Shape Diamond
Heart shaped diamonds can be polarizing – either you love them or hate them. I really like them a lot, so I focus on buying the nicest ones we find. There are quite rare in a fancy yellow color like this one.
Like other shapes the cut is very important, maybe even more so with a heart shape. This one has a beautiful organic heart shape. Distinct cleavage and beautiful rounded bouts.
The cutter sent this diamond for an "color origin" GIA report. This is the type of GIA report that does not show the clarity. I graded the diamond SI2 clarity, and this might be one reason why.
As these photos illustrate, there are no black spots in the diamond, and in fact, it is a totally eye clean SI2 clarity. This clarity has no negative effects on the brilliance of the diamond.
Another thing not listed on this type of GIA report is florescence. I have taken a few photos with an ultraviolet lamp to show you the unique and beautiful yellow florescence of this diamond. This is also an aspect that has zero negative impact on this diamond – in fact it probably helps the look of the stone. Very cool!!
