1.61ct Y-Z, Natural Light Yellow VS2 Radiant Cut Three Stone Diamond Ring
Here is a sweet looking 1.61ct Radiant Diamond. It is a very pretty light yellow
I actually feel that GIA was a bit lenient on the color - it is very close to W-X- I would even say that some W-X stones I have seen are even a bit darker. There is really no difference in value between W-X and Y-Z, so it is not an issue of money.
I love the color as it is. The Medium Blue Fluorescence has an effect there too - the diamond is a bit “chameleon-like”
The cutter opted for the GIA color only report. I graded the clarity VS2. There is a tiny carbon point in the middle of the table. It is so small that the diamond is eye clean.
In terms of cut, this is a “spready” diamond. It will be mistaken for a two carat diamond.
The sparkle is quite pervasive - this is a bright diamond.
You have to love the price as well- Y-Z and W-X - these colors are still well undervalued IMO - and that is changing over time as they become more popular.
The Ring
I love the way these three stones go together.
The side diamonds are colorless - lovely cut. They flank the center diamond perfectly.
The setting is hand forged top of the line from our "Uber" shop.
For what it is worth - the diamond is now less chameleon like - more "canary" - it looks like many Fancy Yellow Diamonds you may see.
Great value here in terms of size and look- and the feel of the ring?
Priceless.
