2.02ct Fancy Intense Yellow VS1 Cushion Cut Antique Style Diamond Halo Ring

This is an absolutely gorgeous Fancy Intense Yellow cushion cut diamond.

The diamond has that obvious, instantly apparent beautiful lemon yellow color that we associate with fancy intense yellow. It is very strong. Close to vivid yellow.

The diamond is a VS1. Totally eye clean. Wonderful clarity.

There is faint fluorescence, which is totally not an issue.

The diamond has a beautiful cut. In the face up position, the sparkle is lovely, and complex. When you combine that color, and this unique beautiful sparkle, you have a visual treat. To get this unique optical performance, the cutter took pains to maintain a nice crown size, resulting in a fairly small table for cushion cut diamond of this nature. The result is that wonderful combination of larger and smaller flashes that you see in the photos.

As you look at the diamond, it looks like a two carat, or slightly larger than that diamond. Pretty good size for a square-ish type of stone.

This is an absolutely no excuses fancy intense yellow diamond.

The details are authentic - the main difference being the yellow gold elements - which would not have been on a ring made 120 years ago. Really smooth, wonderful finish to the ring. The millgrain bezel is beautifully done. I chose this stone as I knew the profile would provide a great platform for the bench to create a showpiece- and that's exactly what they did. The details are remarkable. I love the floral motif in the wirework on the side of the ring. The tapered baguettes emphasize the shank beautifully. This ring is amazing to the touch.
