2.36ct W-X VVS1 Cushion Cut Diamond
I often ponder how difficult it is for internet shoppers to pick a stone.
If do a search on the "main" diamond shopping sites for a 1.00 G/SI1, we get thousands of results.
Prices will vary by as much as double, and there is no logical progression.
That is why we publish so many photos of each diamond.
Believe me, it's not an easy job selecting the stones we do to purchase for the site.
I am not trying to find the cheapest ones, rather I seek out the best stones. Guess what? They are never the cheapest.

This stone is the atypical example.
It has been graded W-X by GIA, but the cutter anticipated a grade of Fancy Light Yellow - sometimes that's just how the chips fall.
It is priced at the top of W-X, but still well below a prime Fancy Light Yellow.
Prime it is - the cut is as good as you will find in a fancy colored cushion. Remarkable sparkle and great size for its weight.
The fact the cutter took the care to achieve EX in polish and VG in symmetry says a lot in this case.
