.50ct Fancy Intense Yellow VS1 Asscher Cut Diamond
Asscher cuts are quite rare in fancy colors – especially fancy intense yellow. Why? you might ask.

Actually, that is one of our most important tasks. We want you to feel very comfortable with the diamonds we offer, and why we offer them.
The first moment I saw this diamond, it caught my attention immediately. The reason asscher cuts are so rare and fancy intense yellow is that most of the time the rough diamond does not have enough body color to sustain a fancy intense yellow shade when it's cut without all the facets of a cushion or radiant.
The truth is, that when a diamond does have enough color to be cut into the shape and come out that's intense yellow the results can be remarkable – and they are here.
You are looking at a lovely, even intense yellow color. The steps highlight beautifully in the shade. Also it is a very "steppy" look - you can get lost inside.
The stone is a beautiful cut, and it looks fairly large for its weight. It is a totally eye clean Diamond, at VS1 clarity.
A "no excuses" 1.00 Fancy light Yellow VS2 pear shape is going to cost at least 50 % more.
I'm thinking it will look gorgeous in a halo ring, or possibly a solitaire bezel.
