.83ct Fancy Intense Yellow SI2 Cushion Cut Diamond
Florescence is such a weird characteristic in yellow diamonds. In general, I stay away from it- for a few reasons.
1) Advertising: On the internet, people read a lot "information" that is not balanced, raising questions.
2) Based on inspecting hundreds of thousands of yellow diamonds, I find fluorescence to be a problem in a higher percentage of stones as compared to colorless. Problem, for me, is florescence that alters the color. I can pick up a stone and immediately notice fluorescence, even without putting the stone in the dark under a U-V.
Having said all that- there are times I will consider a yellow diamond with fluorescence. This stone is a prime example of one of those times. The fluorescence in this diamond actually intensifies the color in pretty much all lighting environments. You will never know the diamond is fluorescent unless you view it in the dark under UV lighting.
The diamond is a borderline Vivid Yellow- the color is remarkably pure Canary Yellow. Then we have the cut-oooh-ah! Amazing brilliance. It's also got great size for it's weight.
GIA graded the diamond SI2 clarity and who am I to argue- but it's a totally eye clean SI2 as these photos attest.
