Above is a large grouping of natural light yellow ( and a few brown/greenish ones) diamonds. One thing they all have in common? The price.
If we were able to buy all of them, the price would be amazing. Except not all of them are amazing, and we only carry really nice diamonds. I went thru the diamonds, one by one ( three times), and determined which ones would be staying, and which would be going.
The keepers amounted to about 60%. The cutter, after much hard negotiating, allowed this.
Why reject some? Mostly it was cut issues. The pear shape, #12 for example. It had a lot to offer, and maybe I should have kept it. The large facet - visible even in the box- was an off put for me.
This one was an instant YES in my mind.
The color is pure and sweet. The shape totally unique.
