ON the left, there's a box containing 11
diamonds, below it, one holding 3- these 3 are the darkest- GIA graded these
"Fancy Intense Yellow".
The cutter bought these stones as a group
and needs to be able to sell every one to realize his profit. Selling them one
by one is a totally different prospect for him- because some may be worth more
than others.
He sent the 14 stones off the GIA- all for
"Color Origin" reports- which do not mention clarity- as many of them are Si1
and Si2- an I1 or 2.....
GIA graded 11 diamonds as Fancy Yellow, and
3 came back Fancy Intense.
He bought them as a group- selling as a
group was all he was interested in. The price for the parcel was amazing.
Still, his interest, and our interest must
match for this ship to sail. Looking at all 14, I did not see ONE I did not
like.
It's important to remember that Clarity, as
a single characteristic, is less important than other characteristics, like Cut.
A beautifully cut SI2, or eye clean I1- can
look better than a Flawless which is badly cut.
These 14 all have wonderful cut
characteristics.
In terms of shade, many of the 11 Fancy
Yellows are close to Fancy Intense Yellow in shade.
Looks like the cutters interest, our
interest.

This is a square princess cut diamond. It's
quite rare to find a Princess Cut of this size with such strong color.
The color is Fancy Intense Yellow- and s
strong one at that. It's on vivid- but clearly bright yellow
The cut is too, is looks great-
there's plenty of glitter and sparkle- a bottomless pit of crushed lemon
ice......
This is an eye clean SI2 diamond. There's a
small "feather" in the table which is not visible without a loupe. The diamond
is eye clean.
