The cut of this diamond is phenomenal. Because it is so well cut, there is an unbelievable sparkle, and it could easily be mistaken for a three carat diamond. The gorgeous facet pattern is evident in these photos. I love this diamond just as much as the first time I saw it, and back in September 2002. More on that below...

In my searching for unique and lively side stones, I came across this pair. They're not trapezoids, or half moons, or trilliants. I'm sure there must be some geometric name for this shape- but if you're familiar with baseball, let's call them home plate shaped. If you're not familiar with baseball, let's just say they are step cut and also have a very large surface area for their .54 carat total weight. These diamonds are F color and VS1 clarity.

CLARITY

VS1-I can't see any imperfection the matter how closely I look with the loupe.

CUT

An absolutely beautiful large cornered, Square (or close enough to it to be classified square by GIA) radiant cut diamond. These photos giving an indication of the incredible beauty of the cut.

COLOR

Even though the word "light" appears in the grade of this diamond you will not mistake it for "near yellow" diamond.

 

CARAT WEIGHT

At 2.35 carats it's a very nice sized diamond.

It was originally sold in 2002. The owner loved it so much, they decided to upgrade. Our rings are built very substantially. This ring was worn every day, and after a small refinishing on our part, it looks brand-new. All the photos were taken in January 2008. The ring is currently size 4 1/2. We can adjust it to virtually any size, no problem.
