I don't know how it's possible for metal to feel like silk, but it does. It's incredible. Pass your fingers over these lovely shaped prongs, and they don't catch your finger at all.

Looking at the underside of the ring, the demarcation line between white and yellow is so clean that it looks perfect. Even these in these high-resolution photos. The color of the gold is so very rich.

Secondly, and this is actually more important, what you can see, when you do notice this in real life, is all positive. What I am saying is that the slight bit of metal visible above and below the diamond serve to define the shape of the diamond beautifully and work in character of the antique nature of the stone.

The trilliant diamonds also follow this theme. We chose stones with a lovely bowed edge design to truly complement the shape of the center.

More details about the center stone

This is a gorgeous "double decker" antique style cushion, it's got great size for its weight and boy, is it bright! As usual, the diamond was granted EX/VG on the polish and symmetry respectively. This in and of itself does nit mean it's gong to be an attractive diamond - but of course in this particular case, it shows the precision and care taken in this unusual and difficult cut.

In terms of color, it's a lovely light lemon yellow. I thought it might get Fancy Light Yellow but no matter- it's still a gorgeous diamond.

GIA gave the diamond SI1 clarity - I thought it might even get SI2. There are a few tiny carbon spots - you can see them in the photo below. Me personally? I can't see them with my naked eye, under a diamond grading lamp, looking as closely as I can.

Could the sharpest eyed among us spot the tiny spots?

Maybe- but they diminish the diamonds beauty... ZERO!
