1.78ct W-X VS1 "DBL" Branded Old Mine Brilliant Antique Style Filigree Ring

The personality of this cut is amplified in the larger sizes - the facets look amazing. The cutter manages to produce a stone with a lovely high crown - a la antique - yet it is not an overly deep stone over all. It truly looks pretty large for its weight.

I was thinking the diamond was Y-Z, GIA graded it W-X/VS1.

There is a premium associated with diamonds cut to these specs. Given the nature of why many people buy diamond rings having something a little extra special - at a bit of a premium - is sometimes preferable to something really well priced, yet not all that special...

No doubt about it, this stone is special.
