I'm president of the local "Emerald Cut Lovers" club.
The cut I used to associate with what a diamond was when I was little.
This one is one of the nicest canary emerald cuts I've seen.
No question it would have been graded Vivid Yellow if the cutter had added the neccesary additional facets to turn this into a Radiant Cut. I'm so glad he didn't. The stone is bright yellow. This shade yellow in an emerald cut is so different than in a radiant. You can see all the facets. It even flashes fire.
In terms of the VS2 clarity: It's possible to pick out the tiny crystal if you look super closely. But even then, it's a tiny speck.
From my perspective, the clarity does not diminish the appeal of this truly exceptional stone.
