A buddy who is a grower/cutter came to us with a parcel of HPHT stones around one carat. There were about 25 stones in the parcel. They are totally colorless. The fact that they're HPHT means they can be this icy white, with no post-growth treatment.

I picked the best 10 stones by eye - this is one of them.

It's very nicely cut, coming back 2.6 on HCA. It's not your typical "Hearts and arrows" - rather a brighter stone with more scintillation, and greater spread. The stone looks huge for a 1.03ct and bright from edge to edge.
