Those who have been following us for a long while might remember one of my mentors- we called him Sam Spade.
This was the last stone we got from him. It's been here for a few years.
One reason is the difficulty in capturing the beauty with my camera.
In person, the stone is so lively. Lots of bright flashes- and fire. Nice spread for a 1.03ct. Sam loved to buy imperfect goods that faced up well. Because of the prices. And he was very good at it.
He retired about 10 years ago- at 86 years old. We still talk.
The contrast with the natural pink side diamonds is great.
Both complement the other. stone faces whiter than I as well.
It's so nice in this ring.
