1.14ct Fancy Brownish Yellowish Orange SI1 Radiant Cut Diamond

This is a very cool and unique diamond. The stone just has a lovely peachiness to it. I see it easily. I was thinking it was some sort of pink diamond when I saw it. The cutter also felt sure he'd get pink. There's definitely a brown element, but the brown is part of a lovely overall hue, in my opinion. An unusual one.

The last name of the color being "Orange" probably explains the illusion of pink. Pink and Orange are related. Orange is a rare color in diamonds. Pure orange is as rare as blue. Of course, if GIA had called it pink, we'd be looking at a far higher price.

Really nice cut- so there's a great deal of sparkle. I love the rectangular profile. That aspect is definitely personal taste, but this is a beautiful cut. The SI2 carbon crystal is visible in these pictures, but they are taken with a macro lens - close up. In person, I can not make out the spot with naked eye. Even when I'm looking at the diamond under a diamond lamp, and I know exactly where to look.
