We have access to large parcels of brown diamonds.

The average cut quality of these brown diamonds is... meh. It's different than colorless round brilliants, where the tolerances are much tighter.

The cutters are not trying to fit into GIA's Cut Grade - and the goals of brown diamond cutting are different. The cutter wants to optimize the color coming out of the top.

Still, I have the advantage of being allowed to pick from parcels of 50 stones or more. I always gravitate towards stones that are not crazy deep- and one of the first things I look at is the girdle.

These stones have the beauty and fire or colorless rounds brilliants - there's still a bit of color in some lighting environments - still- there's always a lot of sparkle. A lot of the time they look colorless.

Also the outer edges are 7.2mm wide on these bezels. Speaking of them - wow - they're beautiful handmade and super clean.

The gold is super rosy. Heavy duty backs.
