We've set this beauty between a perfectly sized pair of .59ct total weight trilliants.
We had considered using bowed edge trills- I'm so glad we chose straight sided stones for the sides. They're exceptionally well cut.
What a classic look!
Everything is perfectly positioned, the stones are angled just so.. The shank is 2.5mm at the palm.
More details about the center stone
Here's a beautifully cut Radiant Diamond.
The rectangular profile - 1.34:1 ratio is very pleasing to the eye. Not too long, not too fat. Very clean diamond too, VS1.
There are no issues whatsoever with transparency.
Of course, one of the most important aspects of this beauty is the color.
The diamond was grown HPHT. Generally speaking, the goal is to produce totally colorless diamonds. HPHT does produce rough that polished to D-E color, with no post-growth treatment.
In this case, boron in the growing chamber causes a faint, yet noticeably blue tint in the rough. The majority of blue diamonds on the market are irradiated.
We've taken a stone graded this way from IGI and submitted it to GIA - it came back Fancy Light Blue.
I believe that to be the correct grade.
