When she got here, it was like seeing an old friend. You know, the one from high school that still looks the same after all these years.

The asscher was cut by one of my favorite local cutters - retired about 5 years ago.

The stone is one of the sweetest 2ct Asscher/Emerald Cuts you'll find. It looks like many 2.50ct Asschers, in terms of size.

The fact that it's not deep has no drawbacks - just the opposite. The stone is so lively!

It also looks quite colorless - Medium Blue fluorescence can do that for you. I remember when we designed the ring, back in 2010, we needed to use H color traps to match this J color Asscher. Eye clean VS2.

The ring was made by one of our favorite benches - also now retired.

The ring is in perfect condition - ready to be worn for a lifetime - there's a lot of platinum there!

When the ring got here, we removed the center and sent it back to GIA, hence the new photos of the stone loose. There's a brand new report.
