3.31ct W-X VS2 Pear Shape Diamond Halo Ring
On the face, I would expect a W-X stone of this size to go for a bit less.
However, one look at the stone and it was quite easy to understand the value. Remember, we are not looking for the cheapest stone, rather we find the very best stones, which are generally never the cheapest. This one is well worth the price we paid - it is not a "normal" W-X color.
It looks like it could weigh 5 cts. The cut is over the top- incredibly nice. The sparkle amazing
Then we have the color - the cutter was sure he would get fancy light yellow. Put it all together, and I would rather own a stone like this at a fair price, than a stone with compromises that was cheap.
The Ring
Now that this magnificent pear shape is set, it is just about impossible to believe she's not an intense yellow. The photo and video give you a very good idea.
Saying our "Uber" guys did remarkable job is the understatement of the year.
From the platinum shank, to the hand forged wire basket, this ring is art. The placement of the diamonds around the pear is perfect. The five claw prongs are as nice as you will see - anywhere. The color does not quit. It is simply one of the nicest pear shapes "canary" rings you will find. There is no way we will be able to repeat this ring - once it goes, it's gone.
It really does look like a much more costly piece.
