Henry Grossbard had an idea patented in 1977. To oversimplify it, he put the facet design of a round onto an emerald cut. The Radiant Cut was born. The genius of this design is the way it allows the cutter to utilize the rough diamond. For example, if we compare radiant cut, to an emerald cut, the radiant cut will be, in many cases, better at masking an imperfection. This means certain stones which are SI2 clarity will be eye clean. In this regard I'm just discussing the design of the radiant cut diamond.
