More details about the center stone
Many shoppers looking for a pink diamond are shocked when they learn the prices of a diamond this size with a strong pink color, such as Fancy Intense Pink – especially if it is pink without any modifiers. Even more so if that diamond was VS or better clarity. Such a stone could easily be over $100,000. If the diamond was verified to be from the Argyle mine, it could easily be another $50,000.
That's why I look for stones like this one. It has an incredibly strong color – and what you really see – is pink! The diamond is cut well for a pink diamond – that is to say it is very bright – broadcasts its color well. Also, very importantly, it looks big for its weight.
The diamond comes with a GIA report that specifies color and measurements only. I graded the diamond I1 Clarity. Looking at the photos, I believe it's easy to see why. However, in real life, even at only 6 to 8 inches from the face, the imperfections really do not have that much of an impact on the look of the diamond. The depth of color has a lot to do with that. So what you have is very well priced pink diamond due to the clarity, and the fact that the word Brownish appears in its grade.
