Normally we do not purchase Fancy Yellow Diamonds with Medium Blue Fluorescence. In this case, the stone has such a great personality, and price, we bought it from our cutter. The cut is awesome - beyond awesome.
The stone has a great size for the weight. In terms of sparkle, it's a very bright stone. The small table results in a lot of incredibly bright flashes.
I will say that in terms of grading, Medium Blue Fluorescence makes assigning a grade very tough. The reason is that the stone does actually change color a bit based on the percentage of UV in the light..
Basically, indoors the stone looks very much like a Fancy Intense Yellow. In daylight it looks more like a Fancy Light Yellow. .
Always yellow, but the changes are interesting and beautiful.
Totally eye clean SI1 - even in the loupe the stone looks clean. If the stone looked this good without the blue, you would have to add abut 25% to the price.
The stone will be amazing set. |
