.80ct I VS2 Old Mine Brilliant (Peruzzi) Diamond Ring
This ring is absolutely amazing! We set the diamond into a 'faux tension' setting. Meaning that it looks like it is a tension setting but when you look at it from the side you will see the setting is cradling the diamond.
The ring has a very weighty feel to it - totally solid. I love the texture as well. The hammered finish really just sets this ring apart from others. Defifnitely a one of a kind piece.
More details about the center stone
Meet the "Peruzzi" cut. It is generally conceded that a Venetian cutter, Vincenzo Peruzzi in the late 17th century , was the first person to cut diamonds with 56 facets, a table and a culet, making 58 in all. Peruzzi's form of cutting was also know as the Triple cut .The design attributed to Peruzzi is basically an idealized version of an old mine cut.
The cutter F has revitalized this gorgeous cut, with typical precision. The stone has all the charm of an ancient diamond, yet it's perfectly symmetrical.
This example is a very nice size, at .80cts. GIA graded the diamond I color, VS2 clarity. I expected an H color- the stone really does face up white.
The photos above are ACTUAL Photos of the diamond ring you will receive.
