A rich fancy colored diamond
If you are a diamond lover, I can promise you this diamond will have an effect on you when you see it. The color is nothing short of dramatic. It's a very strong "Fancy Yellow" by GIA standards.
That means it's very close to an Fancy Intense Yellow, the next darker grade. That would increase the price at least 30%.
Of course, when considering a diamond the cut should be of prime importance. The GIA report tells us a lot, but unfortunately, it won't answer a lot the questions about cut that you need answered.
In the case of round the diamonds, and round diamonds only, GIA grades the cut. In the case of fancy cut diamonds, like a pear shaped diamond, it's way too subjective for there to be a way to standardize the grading of cut.
Although the GIA report calls it a pear shape, it does not tell us about the overall shape of the diamond. Or the sparkle.
I'm going to go out on a limb and state right here and now: If GIA did grade the of a pear shape, I'd love this one regardless of what they graded it!
It's easy for me to describe why I call this an "excellent" cut. For one thing, I absolutely love the shape. This is evident in the photos easily. If you like the shape, the next thing to consider is the brilliance. Here again, this diamond scores very high. It's bright and shiny from stem to stern, with no dark areas whatsoever. The next thing is the visual size, and impact. In terms of visual size, it would be easy to mistake this for three carat Pear shaped diamond-or even larger
