2.36ct N/VS1 Princess Cut Three Stone Diamond Ring with Matching Fitted Wedding Band
Trade Up Special
Here is a princess cut diamond we first sold back in 2006. When we purchased the stone from a cutter back then we did not send it to GIA. It was a very reasonably priced stone, and GIA was less... demanded then.
When it came back as a trade in, the first stop was GIA.
I will admit, I was surprised. I figured the stone for an L color - M... maybe?
It goes to show that color grading in these nest to near colorless shades is complex at best. That's actually a very good thing. Some people will see these photos and know this diamond is not for them - and others will find the color we can see as an attraction.
It is possible that the eye can be "tricked" looking at such a shiny object. Even if it may have a slight tint - the eye can overlook that. As opposed to that, there are a few things that are indisputable for the eye.
SIZE- the stone is large.
PRICE- the stone is still very well priced- due to the color.
The cut s very nice for Princess lovers a lot of sparkle, from corner to corner. Close enough to square that it looks like one.
The Ring
The side diamonds are a lovely compliment in terms of size and color.
I am very proud of the fact that this ring - made six years ago, and worn - looks brand new after minimal polishing. It is a very solid ring
The fitted wedding band is impeccable. A perfect fit. It feels nice and heavy. It would be a $1500 item on its own.
This is a huge set of rings at an amazing price.
