1.06ct Fancy Brown SI1 Cushion Cut Diamond
One of the things I love so much about browns like this is the way they show many different faces, based on the lighting. In this case, the brown is fairly pure - very nice. A small orange component.
Really nicely cut for returning large coppery bright reflections back to your eye. It is not cut quite the same way you would cut a white diamond, because the goals are different. The girdle is a bit heavier than I would want in a colorless diamond. That is done to amplify the color. In other ways, it is just like a super well cut colorless diamond. Beautiful faceting and polish. It is a Cushion Modified, but as I said, it returns large flashes. It is not a "crushed ice" stone.
