2.35ct Fancy Deep Orangy Brown I1 Round Brilliant Gent's Diamond Ring
If you can imagine a campfire after it is burned to embers - when you look into a place that should be dark, but there is an incredible glow emanating from the depths of darkness. The color of this diamond is so very deep- yet it is shooting orange flashes even in dim lighting.
As you may notice the diamond seems to change color in a few of the pictures - which is true in real life. In anything but the brightest lights, it looks pretty much as it does on my finger. This is also a good shot for how it looks most of the time.
The photos also highlight the imperfections in the stone.
This is good- I want you to see the stone "at it's worst" so you can buy it and know what you're getting. It's nearly impossible to see the imperfection in the stone in normal lighting- the photos make it look worse than it does in real life. Again, this is our goal, so you will be happy when you open the box.
The stone is very well cut for a "brownie"- that's why it's got the remarkable orangy sparkles. Another benefit of the quality of cut is the fact it looks huge for its weight.
The price is...... crazy. For stone this size, that looks this good, it could easily be 5 times the price. A truly remarkable value, because the stone look so darn exotic in person.
The Ring
Now that it's finished, I am so tempted to keep this ring for myself. Man, it's an impactful piece. The color and sheer size of the center diamond draw the eye. The ring is totally solid - no cut out at all behind. 13.8 grams of 14karat rose gold.
Although the perceptions that 18karat is somehow "better" than 14karat, that's not always the case. We can get a very distinct rosy color with 14kt as it allows a slightly higher percentage of alloys to make the color more pink.
14kt Rose gold is far easier to work. Not that our guys are lazy, but we strive for really nice results. The way this ring is finished, it feels amazing.
