I love this type of Asscher Cut.
I do use that term loosely - because it has become a generic term - originally a specific brand. For example, GA does not use the term "Asscher Cut" to describe the shape. This stone was classified "Square Emerald Cut" - which is kind of ironic considering it looks rectangular. Not very rectangular, mind you- but still, it is a bit longer on one side.
The facet pattern and angles really amplify the steps - as the stone is on the shallower side for an Asscher - which give the important benefit of being a 1.08ct that looks very large. Asscher cuts tend to look small for their weight - not this one.
It is also pretty good at hiding any body warmth associated with it's "I" color.
The imperfections show very well in the photos, yet in person they are not an issue, for me. That means I do not even see them. Which is not to say you will not be able to, but I will say you will need to have very sharp eyes to spot anything. Even then, they are really faint.
Just like that I color, the SI1 clarity is reflected in a lower price.
