.60ct F SI1 Old Mine Brilliant Three Stone Diamond Ring
Here is a great example of cutters ability to cut all different types of looks. The stone has personality, that's for sure.
I hesitate to say that the diamond is eye clean under all circumstances. For sure the imperfection is never a bother - never obvious. The sharpest eyed among us may be able to spot it.
I love the super white F color with this medium blue....
The Ring
I love what we do. A dealer we know was in from overseas, an he had this REDONKULOUS parcel of natural diamonds with pungent colors.
We bought the parcel. The two stones we picked are a perfect artistic foil to the cutter's amazing OMB in the center.
They compliment each other in a way that keeps drawing your eye back and forth. Of course the color disparity is obvious. I would call the sides "vivid" but I don't like taking liberties and always grade conservatively. The color is remarkably deep, yet bright.
More subtle is the way the cut of each also works to highlight the other. The side diamonds have a lot of similarities the center stone's cut. High crown, small table.
The side diamonds, however, mess with the light in a totally different way. So you get a deep sparkle coming from the sides, versus the chunkier reflections coming off the Old Mine Brilliant.
The ring is super clean, hand forged in platinum and 18kt yellow gold. Totally one of a kind
