1.14ct I VS2 Oval Shape Three Stone Diamond Halo Ring
Here's a lovely 1.14 carat oval diamond. This diamond has the GIA report, calling it VS2 clarity. Now, my support for GIA has always been quite vocal... but let me tell you something. I think they were too tough on this diamond. It got me so ticked off that I went over there to talk about it with the chief grader.
Well, suffice it to say, it was not a very productive meeting. When people's mothers did start getting called names, you just have got to walk out. But seriously folks, I really do believe VS2 is a very tough grade for this diamond. It is a beautiful stone.
Both the I color, combined with the aforementioned VS2 grade allow you to buy such an elaborate ring with great finger coverage for less than $9,000.
The Ring
I love this design - and it is quite popular with good reason. Oval and half moons all framed in exquisite micro pavé. It just makes good design sense.
We used platinum throughout. Our more affordable hand forged shop really did an amazing job here - the finish is impeccable. Lovely claw prongs.
As mentioned the ring gives tremendous finger coverage - yet does not sit too high off the finger. Very substantial in feel - and comfortable to wear.
