2.22ct L VVS2 Old European Cut Diamond
This stone has a remarkable cut - I believe the stone to be newly cut to old style. Yet the cutter was not trying to "correct" aspects of the cut, such as leaving the culet slightly off center, earning a "Fair" symmetry grade.
What I love about the newly cut aspect is that the stone is perfect.
The girdle is amazing - frosted, as opposed to a faceted modern girdle - but in every other way it has the stability of a modern girdle - it's not thin in any place.
The stone is remarkably bright. The color is not all that apparent.
