What is the effect of "Medium Yellow Fluorescence on a Fancy Deep Brownish Orangy Yellow Diamond

The fist part of this would involve trying to pin down such a complex color to begin with!

I mean, we've got: Brown, Orange and Yellow all mixed together.

The photo directly above is as neutral as possible. Generally we use very bright lights to be able to get the detailed close ups we have. You need a lot of light to get such photos.

If there's any kind of UV content in the lighting...boom- the color changes. This is due to the fluorescence of the diamond.

We've had stones categorized as " Chameleon" by GIA - this has a more dramatic color change based on the lighting you view it in.

I like the cut a lot.

It's a soft cornered rectangular cushion. The stone has a nice appearance- size perception is good - it looks like many one carat stones you will see.

The brown aspect really knocks the price down- as does the fluorescence which may make the stone slightly hazy in some lighting conditions. This is shown in the two photos directly below

Other times it's a rich brown.

A note about photographing diamonds:

The main goal we have is to most realistically represent the diamonds we are selling. In the case of Natural Fancy Colored Diamonds, they have different appearances based on the light source. You may notice that the diamond looks darker in some of the photos, and lighter in others. It is this way in real life as well. We choose the photos ( which are not retouched in any way for color) that most realistically represent the  lightest and darkest face of the diamond.
