1.01ct Fancy Light Yellow-Green SI1 Pear Shape Diamond
Green is a remarkably rare color in diamonds. Of course, there are many hues of yellow which include some green. In general, the yellowish–green or greenish yellow diamonds are much less costly than the super rare pure green diamonds. I picked this diamond out of the selection of green diamonds – most of which cost between five and 20 times the amount per carat that this stone does.
Unlike many diamonds that combine green and yellow, this one actually looks very green in person - that is why I bought it. It has a great color and it's obviously green. The "strong green" florescence definitely helps the color, and it is quite rare. However, as you can see from the photos there are no ill effects from this strong florescence.
The cut is a cool funky pear. Lots of chunky sparkles – and it just looks so pretty.
The SI1 clarity characteristics are not possible to see with the naked eye. The stone will look amazing once we set it – possibly surrounded by pink diamonds.
